Jesús Olmos Clavijo Joins KKR as Managing Director and European Head of Infrastructure

New York, November 6, 2008 – Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (“KKR”) today announced that Jesús Olmos Clavijo has joined the Firm as a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure in Europe. Mr. Olmos, who will be based in London, joins KKR from Endesa where he held the position of Managing Director for Corporate Development. He was a Member of the Executive Board reporting to the Chairman and CEO, responsible for corporate M&A and operations outside Spain and Latin America. From 2004 to 2008 Mr. Olmos was CEO of Endesa Europa.

During his time at Endesa, Mr. Olmos led investments in a number of energy infrastructure assets around the world, including in Portugal, Italy, France, Poland, Turkey, Greece, Ireland and North Africa. He developed the European position of Endesa that was sold last June for a total enterprise value of €11 billion with value creation of more than €6 billion over seven years.

Before joining Endesa in 1991, Mr. Olmos completed his MBA at Instituto De Empresa in Madrid, prior to which he worked at Iberdrola and the Nuclear Fusion Institute.
